4. Victor Osimhen

You didn’t have to click too far to find the newest addition. Of the strikers linked to the Emirates, Victor Osimhen comes in at a modest, but respectable fourth place. He’s built almost entirely on potential, having impressed so much n the U16 World Cup (just like Kelechi Nwakali) and would aim at following in the footsteps—though hopefully improving on the results of—Kelechi Iheanacho.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

After floundering at Wolfsburg, Osimhen took the train to France, to our friends at Lille, and has had a fantastic opening year with them, amounting 13 goals and four assists. It’s a tremendous opening salvo that should definitely be taken into consideration. But the concern, as it always is, is whether that Ligue 1 success will translate well to the Premier League.

Arsenal have made one hell of a habit of pillaging Ligue 1 options and this summer looks to be another one, with William Saliba joining and Axel Disasi looking like another likely addition.

Osimhen is a strong investment, but if you want him to replace Lacazette or Aubameyang? Not so easy. Not even Lacazette has fully acclimated to the Premier League yet and he’s been here for years.

I like Osimhen, I just don’t know if he’s the immediate solution we may well need.

On to No. 3.
