Lazio

Somehow, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is still at Lazio. this world-beater has been linked to literally every other team in the world, but he remains right where he began. Not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad sign, but hey, let’s kick up the interest again here, because he’s just that damn good.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

I don’t often point to a guy and say that he does everything (even though I actually just did with Stefan de Vrij), but Milinkovic-Savic is that guy. Goals, ball security, defense, he does it all, and that’s why there has been such intense interest in him over the years.

The problem is that interest drives up price, and when he was linked to an exit, the price was even more than Paul Pogba‘s. Which is just nuts. We’re not paying that and, given the fact that he’s still at Lazio, no one else is paying that either.

The hope is that maybe it’s a Jonathan Tah effect. The initial burst of interest did not translate to a move, and now that the hype cloud has settled, so too has the price. Maybe.
