Lecce

One of the harder Serie A clubs to find a viable target on, but as is the case, you can always find someone if you look hard enough. Lecce is currently in a battle to avoid relegation, and that figures to bring out who the best players they have are.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

One such player who has been stepping up is central midfielder Jacopo Petriccione. While he isn’t the kind of guy that would get into the Arsenal starting XI easily, his grit and determination and “do-everything” mentality makes him an incredibly viable rotational midfielder. He provides creativity from deep, he drives play forward, he is your traditional ball carrier, and while there are other people on this list who are more reputable, or have a better end product, Jacopo Petriccione is good at what he does, and he may well be worth a cheap stab at adding depth to our midfield.

His numbers check out across the board to reinforce his natural ability. Again, he’s not an exciting signing, but not every successful signing is going to be. He’s still worthy of a glance for midfield depth, depending on how well we’re able to fill the roles with marquee signings like Thomas Partey or Dani Ceballos.
