Torino

Torino is another club without a lot of prospects going this season, but there is one clear transfer prospect I would love to have, and that is the Brazilian centerback Bremer. What makes Bremer so great is multifaceted, but for starters, he has the versatility to play both centerback and leftback, giving him a leg up in the practicality and economical categories.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

At 23-years-old, he’s still young enough to be considered a long-term solution with growth to look forward to, but he’s been fantastic thus far in Serie A, despite only playing about half the season. His numbers speak for themselves, but as his versatility and playing style can attest to, he is one of those defenders who is comfortable with the ball at his feet, which is the key requirement to any Mikel Arteta centerback. He’s even been a decent threat to goal for the Italian outfit, which is always welcome.

Also, don’t underestimate the Brazilian connection. Edu has made strides in making sure the Gunners no longer deprive themselves of the Brazilian footballing factory, so luring Bremer is made easier. Not to mention David Luiz, the Brazilian centerpiece, still holding his place at the Emirates.

It may not turn heads, but I would welcome the signings of Bremer.
