Arsenal: 3 positive implications of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sale

2. Cash influx to spend
You can’t sell Aubameyng for cheap. (Can you?) You’ve heard all the hearsay about Arsenal not having a lot of spare funds to make big signings this summer, but when you look at the number of sales they can put together to raise money, that transfer kitty increases exponentially.

Aubameyang is the big piece of that puzzle. While initial reports indicated we could get £70m from the La Liga giants, recent reports have brought that number down to a cool £50m. Maybe it’s a tiny bit underwhelming, but it’s still a ton of money and the kind of sum that can turn your transfer prospectus around.
Suddenly we can get Thomas Partey and still have change left over without having dipped into the transfer pool at all. How can you do better than that?
In fact, if you asked me right now if I would take a straight swap of Aubameyang for Partey, I would take it in a heartbeat. Partey is a more dire need.
That leaves more money to be spent on reinforcing the attack and adding some more names on the defense. Which becomes a much bigger stress if we keep Aubameyang.
