2. Odsonne Edouard

There has been a lot of good news emerging about Odsonne Edouard lately. While one of his teammates indicated that he would be staying at Celtic, there have been more recent rumors stating that Celtic would be willing to part with him for little more than £25m.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

That’s a dream. Here we have a young striker who scores more and more goals the more that he plays. But there has been zero talks of swapping for him, and I’m not sure who we might offer Celtic as a makeweight to secure Edouard’s signature.

That’s what I think is most disturbing about this “no money spent” rumor—what about deals like this, that don’t cost all that much, but have all the reward? This would be a massive coup if we could secure Odsonne Edouard for as little as £25m, but we’d have to spend money in order to get it.

We don’t yet know what we might need at striker, especially seeing as how we don’t necessarily have to replace Aubameyang, but you don’t want to handcuff yourself if someone like Edouard can be secured for such a reasonable price.

Finally, an obvious No. 1.
