Arsenal: 3 transfer targets to pip out from under Tottenham
By Josh Sippie
1. Marcel Sabitzer
He’s baaaaaaack. Back where he belongs, no less, at the No. 1 spot of a list.
Marcel Sabitzer has been the belle of my transfer ball, which is why I’m so distraught that only Tottenham are going after him with any kind of serious interest. Although I can get why. They’re scared of him. He ripped them apart in the Champions League and almost single-handedly sent them packing, so of course they want to sign him. Then they don’t have to face him ever again.
Or we could do the mature thing, give him a better club to come to, and ensure that he is able to rip Spurs apart at least twice a year for years to come. Who wouldn’t prefer that? It can be a selling point too. “We know you love to kick Spurs arse, so do we, let’s be pals.”
Sabitzer isn’t the exact holding midfielder that we need, I’ll admit that, but he is an attacking sensation with holding midfield capabilities. I know I’m getting a bit nuts here, but get him and Thomas Partey and this midfield would be complete forever.
