Arsenal: 3 Brazilian transfer targets to follow Gabriel Martinelli

2. Jean Lucas
Jean Lucas has moved around a lot in his young career and he has to be desperate to find some kind of consistency. Which is why a third move in as many years might not be of that much interest to him, but I’d urge him to reconsider.
Right now, any defensive midfielder coming to the Emirates has a unique opportunity to take the job and make it there’s for years to come. Jean Lucas could fit right into that. He isn’t a flashy signing, but he has always taken his primary job of defending seriously, while never allowing himself to be pigeonholed as a defense-only midfielder. He’s tremendous at moving the ball forward and keeping an intelligent eye out for the crucial pass.
He’s also very mature for his age. He doesn’t play the game like a young, over-excited prospect. He plays the game like he’s been here for decades and knows what each situation means to him and the club. He is familiar with success from his youth career and while he only just moved to Lyon, it would not be an awful idea to sniff around for a potential solution here.
On to No. 1.
