2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This is what we bought him for, right? No matter what form the club is going through, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is going to do his thing. That thing being scoring copious amounts of goals and competing for the Golden Boot year in and year out.

Aubameyang is doing that yet again this year, despite being forced back out onto the wings. He long ago ascended to a striker, but Arteta has found far more use for the Gabonese goal machine on the wings and it’s gotta be hard for even Aubameyang to argue that usage anymore.

Much like last year, when Aubameyang did win the Golden Boot, this year Aubameyang has always made himself readily available to be the finishing touch we need—something we’ve sorely lacked in years passed.

That quality alone will always rank him in our top performer list. At least until we sell him and get smarter and younger. Until then!
