1. Moussa Diaby

Of the young wingers in the Bundesliga, the majority of the headlines focus on Jadon Sancho or Serge Gnabry and now Marcus Thuram. However, while Havertz is establishing himself as one of the most talented young players on the continent, his teammate, Moussa Diaby, is going about his business rather promisingly too.

Prior to this weekend’s action and excluding those that have played fewer than 1,000 minutes, ranked first in the Bundesliga in dribbles per 90 minutes, 19th in expected assists per 90, 29th in expected goals per 90, 19th in shot-creating actions per 90, and 23rd in goal-creating actions per 90. They are all sensational underlying statistics.

He does not turn 21 until the summer and so offers terrific upside and long-term value. For those that have not watched him play, find Havertz’s first goal from Monday night. Diaby receives the ball on the right flank. Drives at the defender, skips to the byline, before producing an inch-perfect cross for Havertz to head home.

He is a classic winger and now has four goals and five assists in 1,197 league minutes. That is an excellent return for a young player who could be the next great pacy French attacker.
