Arsenal: 3 improvements Alexandre Lacazette must make if he stays

2. Reliability
Another difficult thing for any striker to accomplish is being reliable. Being able to be counted on week in and week out. But there is an incredible value in a guy that you just know what you will get out of every single time he’s out there.
For Aubameyang, we know we’ll get goals, or at least the immediate threat of goals. We will get speed in the open field, we’ll get great movement off the ball. Every single match. Even when he doesn’t score.
But Lacazette is more of a gamble. We’re never quite sure what we’re going to get. Sometimes his first touch is magnificent and he navigates the box with ease, sometimes he’s spilling that first touch left and right. There’s very little consistency to his play. In his player of the season year there was, but lately he’s been a different guy.
Again, it’s hard to be a reliable striker, but for a club of Arsenal’s aspirations, he needs to be. He needs to be able to be counted on and right now, he can’t.
To sum it all up, we go to No. 1.
