Playing out of position at right-wing—he prefers the center of the midfield, or a number 10 spot—he impressed me with his eye for goal, and the ability to drift into pockets of space and find a key pass, breaking the lines of the defense with a perfectly weighted ball. Whether he found the aforementioned Havertz, Moussa Diaby off the left, or Mitchell Weiser bombing up the flank behind him, he caused no end of problems for a stagnant Werder Bremen defense on multiple occasions.
He would be the perfect addition to our already very strong academy, and would fill in the positions we need most for the future. He would have Joe Willock and Emile Smith-Rowe to teach him the ropes, and Mikel Arteta, who specializes in youth management to bring out the best in him. His ceiling is something of a combination between Michael Ballack and Mesut Ozil, and while prying him away from Peter Bosz will be difficult, it might just set us up for a decade or more.
