2. Goals!

It’s hard to forget when Eddie Nketiah first arrived at the club. He came up to the senior club, scored two goals to save us against Norwich, and was hailed as a hero, which he rightfully was. And it was hard not to jump on the “Eddie!” hype train, given the track record he showed for the youth outfits.

Nketiah has always scored goals. It’s his thing. And as we saw against Norwich, it’s just instinct. He knows where to be and how to finish.

Lads got three goals this year, including a tremendous Premier League goal against Everton that looked like it was scored by a true professional.

More of that and Nketiah will stick easily. As long as you’re scoring goals, you’re doing all you possibly can to continue your run in the top flight. Those goals will probably come in time, but the sooner he can get the consistency going, the better the odds that he sticks right now.

Lastly, when the goals fail, No. 1 doesn’t.
