1. Right where we left off

I already alluded to the defense being such an improvement in the 2020 calendar year, but the entire team has been incredible. They are, as it stands, the only club that has yet to lose in the 2020 calendar year. Even Liverpool have.

With four wins and four draws, they are second in the isolated table from Januar 1st to this day. Their +8 goal differential is second best in the league, their 14 goals scored is level with Manchester City and among the best in the league and, as mentioned, that six given up is the best in England.

If Arsenal keeps this pace up, they could very well end up clawing their way into a Champions League spot. If they win against City, they’ll be just two points behind United in 5th and a perfectly reasonable five points behind Chelsea in 4th.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about Arsenal over the years, it’s that you can never count them out. They are capable of absolutely anything, good or bad.
