2. Layvin Kurzawa

One rumor that seemingly won’t go away is the link to Layvin Kurzawa for a free transfer. The 27-year-old PSG leftback has been tied to a move to the Emirates for months now and while I was not a fan of it at first—and honestly, still not really a fan—I see the merits in loading up on a proven, experienced leftback with a lot of the same attacking capabilities as Kieran Tierney.

Despite falling out of favor with the French giants, Kurzawa has an impressive track record in the goal production category. Every year he can be counted on for a handful of goals or more and that’s including the fact that he hasn’t played a full season’s worth of minutes since 2013/14 with Monaco.

A big part of that is a big reason why Tierney can’t stay on the pitch—injuries. I don’t even want to start listing all his injuries because I’ll be here all day, but here’s the full breakdown.

Still, he plays more than Tierney, and with Sead Kolasinac and Bukayo Saka still at the club, it makes a good deal of sense to sell Tierney for a nice chunk of cash and pick up Kurzawa on a free to provide what Tierney was giving us.

It’s ruthless, but sometimes you have to be. On to No. 1.
