Arsenal: 3 reasons paying Luka Jovic so much makes sense
By Josh Sippie
1. You pay for what you need
Duh. It’s the simplest concept in the world of football. If you have a need, you have to fill it. In order to fill it, you have to spend money. If you’re a club of Arsenal’s caliber, that often involves spending a lot of money.
In the event that we do have to pursue Luka Jovic, as mentioned, that means that Aubameyang and/or Lacazette have left the club, also known as being sold. Which means we made money, which isn’t even a factor in this slideshow even if it should be.
Eddie Nketiah is great, but he’s only one guy, and one guy will not carry this striking corps. Just ask Olivier Giroud about that.
Jovic is exactly what we need when the situation arises that we need him. All things considered, he isn’t that expensive either. Getting a top-class striker is the most expensive thing to buy in the modern transfer market. This is a step below, it’s a risky signing, but the reward could give us exactly what we otherwise couldn’t afford.
And there you have it, three reasons to pay the man. And also the first article where I haven’t accidentally referred to Luka Jovic as Luka Modric. I think.
