Arsenal Vs Brighton: 5 key players to watch – Resurrection
2. Eddie Nketiah
Eddie Nketiah again got the starting role ahead of Alexandre Lacazette to lead the Arsenal line. While service was limited and he struggled to impact the match, he worked tirelessly and looked the most dangerous of the attacking players on show. And Arteta was very pleased with his performance, as he said in his press conference on Thursday evening:
"“I want him to keep doing what he’s doing. The way he played last night against those players, in those difficult conditions, for me is extraordinary at his age. He has an immense personality to play, confidence, he’s powerful and is developing in every area I think. I have a lot of faith in him.”"
It seems, then, that Nketiah will continue as Arsenal’s starting centre-forward. In a must-win match, it is now up to Nketiah to provide more than just industry and running the channels. He is there to score goals, something he has proven capable of in the past. If he can continue his prolific streak, the Gunners can yet recover their place in the Champions League race.
