Arsenal vs Southampton: 5 key players to avoiding fiery tailspin
By Josh Sippie
3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
It wasn’t so disappointing to see him not score against Manchester City because we mustered just about zero attacking threat whatsoever. But seeing him proceed to not score against Brighton was disappointing, and there were so many chances where it might have gone the other way. He took seven shots all on his own, many of which were tremendous opportunities.

Aubameyang is in the race for the golden boot and as we continue to see, he is unsurprisingly our biggest threat to goal. Even with Eddie Nketiah or Lacazette up top, it’s always through Aubameayng that this attack finds most of its success as a unit and without him scoring these past two matches, we have managed just one goal.
Again, nothing surprising here.
We need Aubameyang to get off the snide and get back to scoring. If he scores, we win. I’ll go ahead and throw that out there without any grounding. Mostly because if he scores once, he loosens up and will either score again or give a teammate a golden opportunity for a goal of their own.
On to No. 2.
