Front Three

Man of the Match. I just really can’t stand this narrative that he wasn’t worth the money. He absolutely was. And while I’m not just hyped up by his penalty finish, though it was arguably the most composed penalty finish we’ve seen this year. And he nearly doubled it mere minutes later. The chances kept coming, though he did fade into the second half. Still, he did enough to keep Arsenal propped up for the win. It was the Pepe show throughout 60-70 minutes.. RW. Arsenal. NICOLAS PEPE. 7.6

BUKAYO SAKA. 6.0. Struggled to get involved, as most of the attack went through Nicolas Pepe. In the second half, as Pepe faded, Saka finally got himself into the match, but by then, there wasn’t much for him to do. It was just clinging to the lead, hoping to see it out.. LW. Arsenal

5.8. Rather clunky in the early goings, but found his footing as things progressed. Steadily disappeared after that, though, and never mounted a serious threat to goal. Another disappointing performance from him. Beginning to wonder if he even knows how to function without Aubameyang next to him.. ST. Arsenal. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE
