Wingbacks

We have such incredible depth here that it’s really hard to choose. Particularly on that righthand side, where I could honestly see Cedric Soares, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Hector Bellerin all starting the match. Each one has earned it.

Yet, while I think that Bellerin has earned it the least, it will be him that gets the start. He seems to be in a rotation with Cedric now, and since Cedric started against Wolves, it’s coming back around to Bellerin.

I would love to include Maitland-Niles, because he was phenomenal against Wolves, but give it another positive appearance or two, and then we can start talking about getting him back in the starting XI.

Opposite this conundrum, Kieran Tierney will keep his spot. He was pulled off early gainst Wolves, no doubt to give him a rest before Leicester City. He’s been one of our best players since the restart and nothing should upset his continued usage.

Midfield is next.
