Arsenal vs Tottenham: 5 key players in North London Derby
By Josh Sippie
2. Kieran Tierney
Speaking of just general key players, Kieran Tierney has been a massive performer since the restart. He’s been so good that he’s effectively holding his spot when Arteta has been so prone to rotation across his starting XI.
Instead, his version of rotation is giving Tierney a break by subbing him off late in matches.
And through it all, Tierney has remained a crucial piece of the puzzle. His ability to gallivant up and down that left flank is just delectable, and we’re going to need more of it here. Aubameyang is good for speed and finishing, but he isn’t the best to have on the ball if he’s isolated.
That’s where Tierney has been so crucial in his ability to combine with the striker and unlock a little bit of freedom for him to cut inside and get that threat on goal.
With how positive his delivery and ball movement is, Tierney is going to be a key man for the foreseeable future. That’s no different here.
