Shkodran Mustafi

There is an argument to suggest that this one could be up for debate at Arsenal. Since Mikel Arteta’s appointment as head coach, Shkodran Mustafi has been predominantly reliable at the back. His aerial prowess has been clear for all to see and his ability on the ball seems to have improved tenfold. An unlikely remontada from the German.

In spite of this, there is no way the former Valencia defender should be kept at the club beyond this season. He has shown time and time again that he’s simply not dependable enough to play for Arsenal. During this rebuild, we can’t afford to have such a liability in our defence alongside young defenders who need protection. Hopefully, his promising end to this season would have ramped up the price for him a little bit and he’ll be sold for a respectable sum this Summer.

Verdict: Sell
