It seems the writing is on the wall for the Greek veteran. Despite consistently appearing on the bench, Sokratis has not played a single minute since the restart. Prior to lockdown, he was deployed as a makeshift right-back and it seems Arteta has completely given up on the former Dortmund man as a central defender.

His tenure at Arsenal has not been awful but it hasn’t been particularly brilliant either. We might as well attempt to cash in on Sokratis whilst we can.
