In their greatest performance in many years, Arsenal fought brilliantly to upset the FA Cup champions, Manchester City, to secure their place in the final. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice on the counter-attack, while Mikel Arteta’s defensive work on the training ground was clear to see as a disciplined and well-drilled defence repelled the waves of City attacks with relative comfort.
