Wing-Backs

RWB. Arsenal. HECTOR BELLERIN. 6.0. Struggled in the first half. Was beaten by Benjamin Mendy on one occasion and gave a few poor turnovers. Was excellent in the second half, however. Stood up to Mendy, defended stoutly, and was more sensible in possession, on the rare occasions that Arsenal were able to get on the ball. Still not at his sharpest and needs to improve when he receives the ball, but his defensive work has improved markedly.

8.0. Offensively, his final ball was poor. But he carried the ball well to move Arsenal up the pitch and was mostly in the team to keep tabs on Riyad Mahrez thanks to his one-on-one defensive ability. From that standpoint, he was excellent, beaten only once by the tricky Algerian. He was focused, well-drilled, diligent, and excellently positioned, skills that are not always associated with the young midfielder.. LWB. Arsenal. AINSLEY MAITLAND-NILES
