Creativity is the Ultimate Piece of a Very Convincing Jigsaw Puzzle

Let’s Start Our Shopping Spree in the Championship
Arsenal have contracted a series of links with Championship players this summer, with Said Benrahma at the top of the list. Why we would need another left-winger at the club is beyond one me. Frankly, I don’t really know what he brings to the team that we don’t already have.
It’s players like Norwich’s Emi Buendia and Todd Cantwell, Bournemouth’s David Brooks, and newly-promoted West Brom’s Matheus Pereira that catch my eye. Eberichi Eze, now of Crystal Palace, was top of the list, but now he’s twinning with Wilfried Zaha, and I’m a little jealous. They’re scarily similar.
And while none of those players is a perfect solution, they’re all the same mold of player – a hybrid of wide midfielder and central playmaker, who are just as good zipping past defenders as they are at passing around them.
And considering Henrikh Mkhitaryan just mutually terminated his contract at Arsenal to pursue a career in the Italian capital, that role is wide-open. If they could be convinced to operate centrally, any one of those players could boost the creativity we’re currently missing.
