On his return to fitness, Kieran Tierney will start at his preferred role of left wing-back. Ainsley Maitland-Niles got the nod against Leicester, but looked seriously out of depth. His main role under Arteta has been off the left – his energy is so important – but I think Tierney’s distribution will be key to this game.

On the opposite side, Hector Bellerin will continue building up into the season. He’s looked progressively better with each game he plays, and given Cedric has just returned to full fitness, expect the Spaniard to have a nice healthy battle with Andrew Robertson on the left flank.

The midfield will remain the same as it should: Xhaka and Ceballos. For some reason, they always turn it up a notch against Liverpool. Hoping that stays the same tomorrow. Their distribution and composure out of the back will define Arsenal’s success against Jurgen Klopp’s Gegenpress.
