Reiss Nelson (RW) – The wingers will interchange over the course of the match, but Nelson should lineup on his preferred right hand side to begin with at least. Apart from the obvious, the 20-year-old is the one I’m most keen on watching. A source of frustration a times since he always seems to be about 20% off where we want him to be, I too have been guilty of forgetting how young he still is.

That said, Gabriel Martinelli and Saka are younger and they’re just fantastic as is. I think the Europa League will be a big competition for Nelson this year.

Eddie Nketiah (ST) – Neither he nor Alexandre Lacazette started against City but the Frenchman is still Arteta’s preferred number nine. Nketiah will get more minutes in the Premier League than Nelson, but that doesn’t make this competition any less important for him.

I adore Nketiah more than I should as I think there is an intelligence to his play the goes under the radar. We see it at international level where he thrives with a No. 10 behind him that allows him to play on the shoulder. He’ll cause defences real problems in this competition.

Joe Willock (LW) – Willian would have played were it not for him picking up an unfortunate injury in training, but even still, Nicolas Pepe not playing would provide him with a welcome confidence boost. How so? Well, it’d indicate that he’s starting on the weekend, something he’d surely benefit from.

Furthermore, Willock’s endless running ensures that he won’t give their defenders a moments peace, and he can drift infield into a central role to account for Kolasinac’s overlaps down the left.
