Midfielders

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 6/10 – Arsenal became a far more dangerous proposition when Xhaka moved further forward as was able to dictate play. Too slow at times? Admittedly yes, but there was far more bite in the hosts play and that was down to the Swiss taking hold of proceedings.

Joe Willock (AM) – 8/10 – Picked up where he left off from last week with some smart running into the box and an aggressive nature to how he moved across the pitch. As Arsenal penned Molde further into their own half his influence waned, but he had a big hand in both goals either side of the half and was the liveliest player on the pitch.

Dani Ceballos (CM) – 7/10 – Collected loose balls when Molde broke in threatening situations well, demonstrating a new-found reading of danger. Interesting to see him play so much deeper than Xhaka where he could spray passes either side. Not ‘vintage’, but got about the pitch well.
