Midfielders

Dani Ceballos (CM) – Based mostly on the fact that Granit Xhaka started in Norway, the likelihood is that Dani Ceballos will be given the nod from the off on the weekend. Against a side rigid in their defensive shape, all the guile Arsenal can get in that area is wholly welcome.

Mohamed Elneny (CM) – Sources beyond his control have meant he’s been unavailable for the last two fixtures. If Partey is fit then he’ll come into midfield and there will be a shake-up, but the signs aren’t as positive as we’d hoped and Elneny may slot into the deep role in the trio. Could move into a back three at time when Wolves are sitting back in a low-block.

Joe Willock (CM) – Playing the 75 minutes against Molde would suggest Arteta has a plan in place. Xhaka and Ceballos also played bit-parts so those two could start, but Arteta must see what Willock brings to the team down that inside right channel and understand he can open up spaces that others can’t. Perhaps more blind hope than anything, Willock will get the nod.
