LEICESTER, ENGLAND – DECEMBER 13: Yves Bissouma of Brighton (Photo by Malcolm Couzens/Getty Images) /

Yves Bissouma

Cut from a similar cloth, Yves Bissouma assumes his place in the Brighton midfield alongside more adventurous teammates. It’s just as much his role of breaking down opposition attacks as it is building his own.

He gets himself about with an exceptional engine, plenty of which is a credit to Graham Potter and his coaching staff who’ve improve the overall fitness of the Seagulls since taking charge.

It did take time for Bissouma to adjust to Premier League having moved from…Lille (of course), but since finding his feet he’s without doubt one of the more well-rounded midfielders of his kind in the division.

Few players cover as much grass as him and are built to withstand the high pressing nature of top level football. In this day and age, it’s vital to have players who can assume possession in tight areas and evade opposition pressing, an area of Bissouma’s game that has come up leaps and bounds in the last 12 months.

Given his knowledge and experience of the Premier League, the Malian is an alluring prospect. Brighton will likely command a hefty fee, but any outlay could be reciprocated in resale value as he’s still only 24 years of age.
