Arsenal: Best Results in 2020

Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool: Premier League – July 2020
Not many fans would see this as an impressive victory when you consider that Liverpool were already champions and had probably already taken their foot off the gas.
However, they arrived at the Emirates with a full strength team and the same fearsome front three that put every side to the sword all campaign. Make no mistake, this was an impressive result no matter the circumstances.
We all feared a heavy defeat when Sadio Mane scored in the opening ten minutes against our shaky defence.
Two very uncharacteristic errors, first from Virgil van Dijk and then Alisson Becker, allowed Arsenal to turn things around with Alexandre Lacazette (who put in another hard working shift) equalizing and then setting up Reiss Nelson for the winner.
Arteta channeled his inner Jose Mourinho in the second half as we parked the bus, allowing Liverpool to completely dominate as they registered a total of 24 shots throughout.
It was very rare to see Arsenal completely dominated at home, and even rarer to see Arsenal completely dominated and actually win. This victory showed that Arsenal do have the ability to change their style and grind out a victory when needed.
