Odsonne Edouard – Striker

In my, and many others’ eyes, Odsonne Edouard is the ideal long-term successor for Arsenal in the centre-forward role.

Lacazette’s time at the club is nearing an end, while Aubameyang is 31 years old, and differing question marks hang over Nketiah and Balogun. Arsenal will need a new striker sooner or later, and there are few around with a profile quite like Edouard’s.

Kieran Tierney proved to be an excellent addition from the Scottish division, dispelling the notion that players north of the border aren’t cut out for the Premier League, and if anything, Edouard’s track-record makes him a more viable option.

It’s hard to find fault in his game. While concerns have been raised over his attitude, the constant speculation linking him with a move away form Celtic will always have an impact. He scores goals for fun, is brimming with self-belief and gets involved in the Bhoys’ attacking phases. He’s not just a goal poacher.
