Midfielders

Dani Ceballos (CM) – 7 – A huge improvement on the right-hand-side of deep midfield for Arsenal tonight. Mo Elneny has struggled in recent weeks so a strong Ceballos performance was welcome for Mikel Arteta tonight. His forward passing was refreshing and he retained the ball excellently. Good to see him back in the starting XI.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 6 – Another solid display from Granit Xhaka this evening. The Swiss International team captain kept things ticking over in the middle and had an eye-catching tempo to his passing against the Baggies. He’s redeemed himself impressively since his red card against Burnley.

Emile Smith Rowe (CAM) – 8 – Wow. Just wow. The difference this youngster has made to the Arsenal team is quite reliable. His link-up play is just exquisite for someone of his age and one can only hope there is more to come from Smith Rowe. Simply wonderful work from the Englishman during the build-up to the second goal.
