LONDON, ENGLAND – JANUARY 09: Joe Willock of Arsenal (Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images) /

Midfielders

Mohammed Elneny (CM) – 5/10 – The Egyptian put forth a typical Elneny performance. He did well to keep the ball and also put a good shift in – as usual he did not offer much creatively.

Joe Willock (CM)- 5/10 – Willock’s best moment of the match was in the 64th minute when his header was saved by Dubravka. He was deployed in a deeper role which he looked uncomfortable in at times. His erratic mannerisms can be effective, but in my opinion, he belongs further up the pitch.

Willian (CAM) – 4/10 – Willian had a very poor game and he was rightfully hooked for Bukayo Saka. At times he looked astoundingly nonathletic and completely disinterested. The poor performance is a good indicator of how poorly his time at the Emirates has been thus far.
