Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs Manchester United: Maintain Momentum

Midfielders
Thomas Partey (CM) – Hearts were in mouths when Partey hobbled off injured (again) on the south coast, and Arteta did not ease supporters’ fears when he failed to confirm that the summer acquisition would be okay for Saturday.
While the boss will be careful not to exacerbate any injury issues, Partey is integral to our ability to dictate games and he’s now expected to recover in time. Fortunately.
Granit Xhaka (CM) – Maybe all he needed was a better partner! Xhaka has looked a completely different player with Partey by his side and put in a brilliant performance away to Southampton, even setting up the equaliser.
Our new midfield pivot is showing signs of promise and will need to be at its best to foil United’s counter-attacking threat.
Emile Smith Rowe (CAM) – Another player whose midweek showing was cut short by injury. Smith Rowe’s participation for this one is hanging in the balance, but again I expect him to heal and retain his place in the side.
Any concerns regarding his involvement may give Martin Odegaard his chance on the big stage, but I suspect there is little appetite at the club to give the loanee what would be a baptism of fire.
