Seven. A whopping seven Premier League matches unbeaten for Arsenal since Boxing Day, during which period only two goals have been conceded. Who can honestly say they saw that coming?

The debate over whether a corner had been turned or not rested on the quality of the opposition faced, which was true of the sides Arsenal had beaten during that spell. Having gone away to Southampton and won, as well as secured a clean sheet and point at home to Manchester United, many of those questions have been subsequently answered.

Despite what recent form indicates, heading to Molineux will be tough. It’s now eight matches without victory in the top-flight for Wolves, who’ve sunk to a lowly 14th during that time, sitting eight points adrift of Arsenal.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Preview of Wolves vs Arsenal in the Premier League on Tuesday

A style that hardly sets the pulses racing, they aren’t the easiest football team on the eye despite boasting some of the most exciting players in the division. Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence and Adama Traore, while not as clinical as Wolves would like, can cause any opposition problems on their day. One need only look at the reverse fixture this season as evidence.

Plenty has changed since the 2-1 loss at the Emirates, a result that moved Wolves up to sixth and left the Gunners languishing in 14th spot. There is structure to Arsenal, and bluntness to Santo’s side.

With some key players likely to be absent once more, it will require another dogged display from the visitors to secure a positive result.

This was a happy hunting ground for Arsenal last season, with Bukayo Saka netting his first Premier League goal, while Alexandre Lacazette netted late on to wrap up a morale-boosting 2-0 win. Wolves were enjoying a decent vein of form at the time, starkly contrasting this meeting, so prepare for an interesting contest.
