Everything Unravels at Tottenham the Way it Would Have at Arsenal

Tottenham fans enjoyed their mini-revival, but even they too are beginning to see the light. Buying into the cycle like so many have before, it all unravels to expose their tainted desires. Short-term gain at the cost of a shattered moral compass.

Hale End are flying the flag for Arsenal this season and will continue to do so in the years to come. Mourinho’s unwillingness to develop youth would have resulted in the stagnation of an academy the Gunners have worked tirelessly to construct. Yet another pillar of Arsenal torn from its foundations. Bukayo Saka would be second choice wing-back.

Fractured relationships, an outdated siege mentality, negative football and greater division would have all been forthcoming. Spurs will have to pay out near to £15m for Mourinho to leave early. They’ve never been closer.

Mikel Arteta may not have taken Arsenal where fans wanted them to be at this stage, but signs are there of resetting the course towards the right end of the football spectrum, without the cost of eradicating the values this club holds dear.

Tottenham played delightful football under Mauricio Pochettino. They abandoned it for this. This.

Divorce is on the horizon for them. Another Mourinho sacking that comes at the cost of further toxicity. Thank goodness Arsenal didn’t sell their soul. Others would have.

Next. There is no Pepe dilemma. dark

Heck, Mourinho may well walk into another job at a club of similar size to Spurs when this is all over. However, Millwall would be making a grave error.
