Forwards

Nicolas Pépé (RW) – If Saka moves back to left-back, Nicolas Pépé should head back to the right-wing. The Ivorian started there against Manchester United a few weeks ago due to Bukayo Saka’s absence and performed well so shouldn’t have any problem switching flanks again.

Alex Lacazette (ST) – As for the centre-forward role, many have called for Gabriel Martinelli to be given a chance there this week. However, it’d be surprising to see Arteta opt for the Brazilian in that role given how little he has played there in an Arsenal shirt. Perhaps he’ll get chance up front in the Europa League. For now, Arteta looks like sticking with Alexandre Lacazette.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (LW) – On the left-wing it’s important that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is brought back into the fold. Heading into one of the most difficult periods of the season Arteta will want the captain firing on all cylinders, so the game against Leeds should represent a chance to gain some momentum for the club captain.
