Willock, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Nketiah, Torreira and Guendouzi all tipped to leave Arsenal

Hale End stars Willock and Maitland-Niles will have offers considered for them, including fringe forwards Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, who have earned next to no playing time this season. The need for home-grown players is prevalent throughout the Premier League, thus selling all four has to be done with other targets in mind, or players coming through the academy.

Decent fees could be accrued for all four given their home-grown statuses, their respective ages and the promise many have shown in flashes throughout their careers. After his early impression on Tyneside, Newcastle would certainly be interested in Willock joining permanently.

Two more players who’ve been tipped to leave when their loans expire are Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira. There are no qualms with either being moved on as Arteta moulds the squad to his liking and drifts away from signings of previous regimes, although wanting to secure £25m for each is hopeful.

Guendouzi will have just 12 months left to run on his deal come the summer, and while he’s a young player with huge promise, the financial implications of the pandemic and his attitude issues may sway clubs away from stumping up such a hefty fee.

As for Torreira, he’ll have two years left but all the signs from previous windows are that clubs are unwilling to shell out the price Arsenal initially paid for him, while his lack of playing time at Atletico Madrid has doubtlessly seen his value drop.
