Beating Leicester City, especially after falling down early to them, was a massive three points for Arsenal. It extends the improved form of the last month or so, and while blips on the radar will continue to occur, the Foxes are certainly a solid outfit despite their poor performance on Sunday.

For the Gunners, the play of veterans like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is crucial, yet Willian finally made a massive impact upon Arsenal; it was the first real such occurrence since the first game of the Premier League campaign. His two assists were fantastic boosts to his confidence. He need that.

Arsenal have struggled at times across the shape, whether from the front players, to midfield, defense and in goal, it seems the only player not prone to remarkable gaffes across the campaign is Bukayo Saka. In any event, the club has been fighting through these deficiencies all season, yet especially with two of their more flashy recent signings.

While Willian was brought over on a free transfer over the summer, Nicolas Pepe had already been at Arsenal a year previous. Under Unai Emery, the form of his Lille days was hardly ever seen. It has slowly got better under the administration of Mikel Arteta, and a game like this, with a goal and solid play, is perfect for all parties.

Willian was always going to bounce back eventually, he just has too much experience. Yet how much he can give on a consistent basis is certainly a worthwhile question โ€“ย  itโ€™d be better to depend on Pepe and perhaps Gabriel Martinelli, as well as others on that right side. With both of their production added to the form led by the likes of Saka, the-now-injured Emile Rowe Smith, Aubameyang and others, the team could make a serious run at European play next season, both domestically and in the Europa League.

If both Willian and Pepe can keep up the form moving forward, Arsenal will be a difficult team to cope with, with so many positive and talented pieces running at a defense: Alexandre Lacazette, Aubameyang, Pepe, Martin Odegaard, Dani Ceballos and Thomas Partey will be an intimidating side for any club in England or abroad. However, the Gunners must continue and build upon this recent victory.
