March has only just begun but already the transfer rumour mill is coughing up all manner of speculation, this time centred around Hector Bellerin, who looks set to leave Arsenal in the summer with Juventus among those keen.

An indifferent campaign for Hector Bellerin has seen him enjoy some of his finest form for the club to date in the early stages of the season, which has been followed by inconsistencies in recent months. Often a scapegoat among the fanbase when results aren’t forthcoming, the Spaniard has also been on the receiving end of criticism even in victories.

While mostly unjustified, the arguments do now have merit as Bellerin has struggled to maintain the level he previously reached, with calls for him to be replaced in the starting lineup by Cedric.

Bellerin was keen on departing north London last summer with interest from Paris Saint-Germain said to have been met with a formal bid, although Mikel Arteta’s late intervention convinced the full-back to remain with Arsenal for the 2020/21 term.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

There is a sentimental attachment to Bellerin’s time with the Gunners. He is now the current longest serving player having spent just shy of ten years at the club since joining from Barcelona in the summer of 2011, and has always upheld the values of the club admirably. A hugely likeable figure on and off the field.

His time now appears to be up at the age of 25, with the right-back keen to leave amicably come the summer to start a new chapter in his career.

Previously interested PSG are back in the frame, as are Barcelona who presidential candidate Joan Laporta is eager to bring back to Camp Nou should he win the presidency as expected.

Among those big-hitters are Juventus. I Bianconeri have long-been linked with signing Bellerin, with rumours about offers having been around for a number of years.

The latest reports in Italy suggest that they may finally put their money where their mouth is, although this time in the form of a player swap deal.
