Arsenal can secure Denis Zakaria transfer on ridiculous bargain fee
A remarkable turn of events at Borussia Monchengladbach has seen Denis Zakaria become available for an incredible bargain fee this summer, one Arsenal would be foolish not to explore.
Arsenal have gone from having some glittering midfield options of the Emirates era to a desperately weak one. With only four players currently at the club – not out on loan – and two far below the standard required, something must be done in the summer transfer window.
Question marks remain over whether Dani Ceballos will have his loan made permanent for a rumoured fee in the region of £20-£25m. Painfully inconsistent this season and unable to eradicate the glaring flaws in his game such as overplaying and maintaining focus, it would be a surprise to see that outlay parted with in the summer.
Mohamed Elneny may be kept on as the utility option, one he truthfully will never be able to break through from. He isn’t at the standard required even if the occasional golazo does lift everyone’s spirits.

Then there is Joe Willock, who is finding some form in a woeful Newcastle side during the second half of the season. Despite that, with two years left to run on his deal at the end of the season he too could be available for sale to raise some desperately needed finance.
In a nutshell, Arsenal need more. Over in the Bundesliga, they may well have their man.
Borussia Monchengladbach have had a disappointing season. The announcement of Marco Rose becoming the new Borussia Dortmund manager for next term has had an impact, but not as much as him staying on in his position until the end of the campaign despite that.
One player who has followed suit with the rest of the side is Denis Zakaria, who it’s worth mentioning suffered a serious knee injury in 2019/20 that brought and abrupt and lengthy end to his involvement in November 2019.
Making his long-awaited return to action a year later, he’s been gradually reintegrated into the team but struggled to nail down a starting berth under Rose.
Having been tracked by Manchester City, among others, the interest in his services hasn’t dissipated with news coming to light of a bargain fee being enough to lure him from Germany.
