Arsenal vs Liverpool Score Prediction

How does one predict the unpredictable? In the home corner there is an Arsenal side who last time out produced both their best and worst halves of football all season in the same match, while in the away corner is a Liverpool team who were the best side in the division by a country mile last season and now can’t hit a barn door with a banjo.

Go figure.

If anyone had stated that Arsenal would be battling tightly with Liverpool this season, everyone would have laughed. Well, they are, even if it’s for a Europa League berth.

The Reds can still get top four, as can Arsenal mathematically (…) thus the outcome of Saturday’s game will go a long way to either furthering the respective side’s ambitions or squashing them completely.

While Liverpool are struggling for goals, Arsenal simply can’t keep them out. The earlier defensive solidity has waned, albeit with the help of woeful individual mistakes. It’s now 12 games without a clean sheet for Arteta’s side.

This fixture generally has goals – normally all for Liverpool – and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a similar outcome again. The Reds’ unaccustomed central defensive partnership, coupled with underperforming full-backs, opens the door for Arsenal, just as a terrifying front three will prey on whatever mistakes appear just in front of Bernd Leno.

Equally, travel fatigue and general tiredness, coupled with a fear of over-extending and losing, may see this one play out rather tepidly. Very hard to predict which, in normal circumstances, means a draw is on the cards.
