Nicolas Pepe (RW) – It wouldn’t come as any surprise to see Saka selected for this one, even if he’s 3% fit. Such is his importance that fielding him for every game takes precedence.

The Europa League quarter-finals is a different kettle of fish, however. It’s imperative to Arsenal’s season and bringing Nicolas Pepe into the fold is no massive downgrade. The Ivorian has looked sharp in recent months and his delicious cross in the dying embers of the West Ham draw showed that he hasn’t lost that touch.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST) – Scoring in each of his last three starts against Liverpool, and with three goals in his last three Premier League starts, it would be surprising to see Arteta drop Lacazette from the starting lineup.

Add to that the second half display he produced in east London being his best 45 minutes all season, the Frenchman will surely lead the line.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (LW) – It’s not where most would like to see him play, but just like Arteta fielded Aubameyang on the right against the Hammers with a view to exploiting Aaron Cresswell in behind, he may ask the same of the captain with Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Being out wide allows the 31-year-old to pick up central positions when Tierney supports and form a two-man striker partnership in the box, a tactic Arteta could well employ.

As the game wears on there is also scope to shuffle the pack and bring Lacazette of and move Aubameyang into centre-forward, a move the boss has made before.
