I think all Arsenal supporters are tired of getting a taste of decent football, like the West Ham game with a second half comeback, to then go on a form of being consistently rubbish.

Losing 3-0 to a weakened Liverpool squad and giving up a 94th minute equalizer in the Europa league is currently where we are as a football team.

We are are tired of the same Arteta story. We are tired of using the little progress we have made, to shadow the disastrous state the club is really in.

This apology would have been okay in the beginning of the season, but with failure to qualify for a top four position, or European competition on the loom, it is starting to become a little too late for the Spaniard.

Mikel Arteta’s attitude needs changing as Arsenal prepare for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United

Coming off the loss to Liverpool, Arteta ensured the media that the performance, intensity and level of play will be increased for the Slavia Prague fixture.

"“Absolutely. This is the minimum that we can do, to perform at a completely different level on Thursday,” Arteta told the Arsenal official website."

To be brutally honest, the game was painful to watch, as Arsenal created little, managed to score and take the lead at the end of the second half just to concede minutes before the final whistle.

If this was the bounce back performance that Arteta was talking about, we both have different meanings of showing resilience or toughness. Although the aggregate is 1-1, that felt like an Arsenal defeat.

Despite Arteta and the Arsenal coaching staff having dug themselves into a deep whole, there is light at the end of the tunnel! The Gunners reaming Premier League fixtures are more than winnable, giving them perfect opportunities to end the 2021 campaign on a positive note instead of the current atmosphere at the club.

Also mixed in that list is fifth place Chelsea on May 12th, which would be a perfect opportunity for Arteta to show his managerial acumen against a big-time club.

It all begins with Sheffield United on Sunday, which in my opinion is one of the most important games of the season. This game sets the tone for Slavia Prague on Thursday, and if Arsenal beat the Blades comfortably (maybe even a clean sheet), they will come into the second-leg full of confidence.

"“Confidence is the biggest thing any player needs.” He will not be hesitant on making decisions, he knows exactly what to do and he can execute that because he knows things will go well for him,” Arteta explained."

Confidence is exactly what Arsenal needs, with a good performance on Sunday, the team goes into the Prague fixture with less tension on performing well. Arteta will need to do his part, making sure to play the starting 11 who will give their heart and soul for the jersey.

Arteta has been under the hot-seat for too long and his FA Cup trophy victory will soon not be enough to win over Arsenal supporters. If he wants to show the critics that he is the man for the future for the Gunners, he should go in and manage every game like it is his last, a must win.

I feel a lot of the times, Arsenal goes into a fixture with an attitude that if we play great, that’s a plus, but if we play horrendous, hey that’s what Arsenal does. We need to immediately snap out of that mantra and remember that we have the quality to beat any opponent we play, we need to demand quality from the whole organization.

Next. Arteta's principal weakness. dark

Arsenal needs to stop showing the minimum, and give the fans the passion they deserve, along with the positive results. This all starts with the gaffer. If Arteta can correct his mentality and implement a winning-only environment in the locker-room, he will gain the trust back from the fans who are questioning his position as a leader for this club.
