Arsenal supporters will make their voices heard in response to the arrogant and damaging Super League coup planned by 12 of Europe’s biggest clubs, including the so-called ‘big six’, with an aim to force disgraced owner Stan Kroenke out of Arsenal.

A rollercoaster 48 hours was met with an equally topsy-turvy cocktail of emotions. When the news broke late on Sunday, utter disbelief and sadness became the overriding emotion: ‘is this happening? Is this real?’

Between then and Tuesday evening there were tears of sadness and joy shed, all the result of the actions of an ownership group whose already fragile relationship with supporters reached irreparable.

There is no way back from here and the fans will make their voices heard on Friday evening, in the build-up to the Gunners’ home match with Everton in the Premier League. Originally planned to be centred around opposing the club’s involvement in the Super League, with strong undertones of #KroenkeOut, it will now be solely dedicated to getting the sole owner out of the club.

Hoping to claw back some credibility with the Arsenal faithful, an open letter of apology was written up in response to the club pulling out of the Super League. An apology, something no other ‘big six’ club offered in their announcements.

But this wasn’t Stan Kroenke. This wasn’t Josh Kroenke. This wasn’t Tim Lewis. This was scribbled away by those who had nothing to do with this fiasco. Signed ‘The Arsenal Board’, every CIA and FBI investigator would’ve come back without a shred of evidence tying this to KSE.

It wouldn’t require their services. Everyone could see their grubby hands weren’t anywhere near this statement.

This isn’t why supporters will be congregating outside the Emirates Stadium at 6PM on Friday, but this is the tip of an iceberg that’s been gradually augmenting with each passive year of ownership.

It’s now about lobbying for change. Wanting a custodian owning the club, not an investor. Now well-proven is that fans are everything. Arsenal’s own want their say in the ownership structure and Prime Minister Boris Johnson is aiming to support clubs in this situation with legislative change.

Whatever the steps are from this point moving forward, whatever the vision, it is without Stan Kroenke as owner.

Next. Royal move. dark
