Arsenal given assurances of summer investment by Josh Kroenke
Trying to piece together whatever credibility KSE have left at Arsenal off the trodden floor, Josh Kroenke has made it apparent to club staff that there will be investment from the owners during the summer transfer window.
Efforts were made, and failed, to temper emotions on a Fans’ Forum call on Thursday by Stan Kroenke’s son, Josh, in which he addressed members of the fanbase and offered his deepest apologies for the shambles that took place in the days prior.
Insisting that they were not the harbingers of the atrocious Super League breakaway and merely got swept up in its creation for fear of missing out on the project, Josh Kroenke also revealed to the supporters that KSE have ‘no intention’ of selling up despite the debacle.
He went on to say they will seek to repair bridges and rebuild trust, a quite remarkable statement given that fact none of this has been prevalent over the last decade, so why should this be any different?

One of the primary sources of anger from fans over KSE’s ownership has been the lack of investment. Up until 2017 Stan Kroenke had not invested a single penny of his own money into the club, with all outlays the result of financial incomings. Even with Thomas Partey’s £45m deadline day move, money was moved around to accommodate the transfer and as the owners of a major club in the world, dipping your hands into your pocket is expected.
As per Sam Dean of the Telegraph, Vinai Venkatesham and Tim Lewis spoke to all Arsenal staff in the aftermath of the Super League collapse, with Kroenke to do likewise. It’s stated that the ‘suggestions to staff were that KSE will be investing in the squad this summer’.
How convenient for such news to emerge on the eve of a major #KroenkeOut protest. Ten years of ownership and now they’re up the proverbial creek without a paddle and facing the largest backlash of their tenure amid utter contempt shown to supporters, action is supposedly being taken.
It’s too little, too late. They tried the same after the #WeCareDoYou movement. Only when the going gets tough to they get off their saddles face the music.
Furthermore, what about Europe? Should Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League, then what impact does that have on the supposed investment? Given the lies told and the cultural ineptitude they have for football in this country, as well as a lack of transparency, who is to know what is true.
