Arsenal vs West Brom Score Prediction

Fans will be urging Arteta to give those who will shape the future of this club a chance. Minutes for Folarin Balogun and Miguel Azeez will signal the beginning of the fresh start Arsenal are now not only in need of, but forced to proceed with.

It’s unlikely Arteta will heed those calls. For the boss, nothing short of an immediate response will do, which he knows can only be achieved with a dominating and high-scoring encounter. For that reason, it’s expected he opts for a side of regulars.

If Xhaka is fit then the Swiss has to come back into midfield, whether or not it’s half a Tierney or an out of position Cedric at left-back. Arsenal are a mess without their former captain and after seeing his side fail to deliver without him in the engine room, even Arteta must have seen the light.

However, there is an air of Ceballos and Elneny starting in midfield. Thomas Partey looked dead on his feet on Thursday and Xhaka has muscle tightness. It would come as no surprise to see the same midfield as at St James’ Park.

With a trip to Stamford Bridge to come on the following Wednesday, Arteta will want all his freshest legs available to avoid a near certain hammering, even if Chelsea are still battling on multiple fronts.

West Brom know it’s do or die on Sunday, and even if they do secure a victory, the outlook is bleak. They’ve hit a decent run of form though, at a time where the Gunners have netted two goals in their past six home outings, earning two draws in the process.

Frightening numbers.

Will that impact the outcome on Sunday? Arsenal need to pick themselves up off the floor and Arteta has a significant say in ensuring that happens. There has to be a response.
