Daniel Ek has Arsenal offer rejected by Stan Kroenke and KSE
Daniel Ek has confirmed that he made an offer to purchase Arsenal from the Kroenke family, one that was rejected by the KSE ownership.
Stan Kroenke and his KSE ownership of the club have come under their most severe criticism since he gained full control a decade ago, as a result of the abhorrent European Super League breakaway that was launched and subsequently brought to a crashing halt within 48 hours of its disgraceful announcement.
The result was thousands of fans protesting outside the Emirates Stadium, demonstrations that have since followed, calling for the disgraced ownership to sell their shares in the club. This resulted in Josh Kroenke stating ‘we have no intention of selling’ during a Fans’ Forum, coming after Swedish billionaire Daniel Ek revealed his intentions to purchase the club.
During the initial protests ahead of the Everton Premier League defeat, Spotify co-owner and CEO Daniel Ek teased Arsenal fans by tweeting out his desire to purchase the club. He has been a lifetime supporter of the Gunners.

Supporters have never taken to the disinterested, passive and careless approach by KSE, with the ESL breakaway the straw that broke the camel’s back.
With Ek making it clear he wished to submit an offer to the club, he revealed late on Saturday night that, contrary to rumours, his offer to purchase Arsenal was made, but subsequently rejected.
"He tweeted: “This week I made an offer to buy Arsenal to Kroenke and bankers that included fan ownership, representation at board and a golden share for the supporter. They replied that they don’t need the money. I remain interested should that situation ever change”."
The news will come as a major blow to Arsenal fans who are desperate for KSE to sell up and end their wretched control of the club.
Stating that he will ‘remain interested should that situation change’ does indicate that he has, in many ways, given up on his hopes of purchasing Arsenal unless KSE change their stance. His statement doesn’t mention him returning for a second bid, only that he will remain vigilant to any change in circumstance.
The stance of Stan Kroenke has remained one of staunchness. He and KSE have regularly insisted they will not sell up, despite the club facing no European football for the first time in 25 years and suffering significant financial losses.
